Phone Systems

• One screen for an imported system — Opening an imported phone system now shows a short summary instead of a long scroll: its connection status, Quick Actions for Activity, Details and Settings, and a Status section with Extensions, Calls and Trunks tiles.
• Live resource meters — The Status section shows compact meters for the recording disk, storage, memory and CPU as the system reports them, with an Online/Offline indicator and an Alarm badge when the system raises one. A meter only appears when the system reports that figure.
• Last seen reflects the latest report — The time shown as last seen is the system's most recent status report.
• Settings and details moved into their own panels — Name, note, passwordless login and configuration templates are edited from Settings; activity history and read-only device facts open from Details.

Bug Fixes

• Editing an emergency location from the E911 screen works again — Opening an existing location to change it did not let you save your edits. Locations can now be edited and saved directly from the E911 screen.
• Deleting a trunk that still has numbers now explains itself — The confirmation showed a generic failure. It now reports that numbers are still assigned to the trunk, so they can be moved first.

Porting

• A signed letter of authorization is flagged when it no longer matches the order — If the authorized name, business name or service address changed after the letter was signed, the stored document is now marked as out of date in the documents list, so it can be re-signed before the carrier rejects the port.

Bug Fixes

• Saving with no changes no longer looks like a failure — Editing your profile, a role, or a user and saving without changing anything showed an error, even though there was nothing to save. These now close cleanly instead.
• Duplicate names and campaign limits explain themselves again — Creating a role whose name already exists now takes you back to the name step instead of showing a generic error, and a number update blocked by a campaign's number limit explains the wait rather than showing raw error text.
• Fax details no longer show "Invalid Date" — A fax with a missing or unreadable date could break the detail panel. Missing dates now read "Unknown".

Bug Fixes

• A search with no matches no longer shows the previous list — Searching Call Insights for a number with no matches left the earlier list of calls on screen while the pager reported "No results" and refused to page. An empty search now shows an empty table.
• Empty results explain which dates were searched — "No calls found" now names the date range it looked at and suggests widening it, since the date range is the usual reason a number you expected to find is missing.

Bug Fixes

• Tables reloaded their data over and over — Paged tables could get stuck alternating between two page sizes, reloading continuously for as long as the page stayed open. The remaining cause from 3.8.4 has been fixed: a table now only sizes itself once it has actually drawn its rows, instead of measuring itself while the loading spinner is showing.
• Searching calls by number ignored the page controls — A number search loaded every match into one long scrolling list, and the page buttons did nothing. Search results are now paged like any other list, and links to a specific call still open the right record even when it is on a later page.
• Lists could briefly show the wrong results — Changing a filter or page while a list was still loading could let the older, slower response replace the newer one. Call Insights, port-out requests and messaging opt-outs now always show the most recent request.

Bug Fixes

• List pages reloaded their data continuously — A change in 3.8.3 caused tables to re-measure themselves each time they finished loading, which started another load, repeating indefinitely. This affected any page with a paged table, including port requests. The measurement fix from 3.8.3 that stopped tables showing only five rows is retained.

Bug Fixes

• A search typed while results were still loading was ignored — Typing a search before the first results finished loading left the search unapplied; it only took effect after deleting and retyping a character. The slower initial request was finishing last and overwriting the search results. Only the most recent request now updates the page.
• Tables showed five rows while reporting many more — A table could display five rows while its footer read "Showing 1–14", because the page size was measured while the table was still collapsed during loading. Tables now size themselves against their real layout and fill the available window.

Bug Fixes

• Searching for a phone number missed calls that existed — The number search only looked at the calls already loaded on screen, so a call would show as missing until you switched the page size to 500 or paged through the results by hand. Search now runs across every call in the selected date range and returns the matches directly.
• Custom date ranges excluded the last day — Choosing an end date left out calls from that day. The end date is now included in full.

Improvements

• Date range picker on Call Insights — Start and end date pickers are now always visible, matching the Usage page, instead of appearing only after selecting "Custom Range". Picking a date switches to a custom range automatically.

Bug Fixes

• Sign-in could fail after entering a valid code — Customers with a single account could be refused at the account selection step even though their code was accepted, most often after refreshing or reopening that page. Signing in now completes, and if the page is opened without a valid sign-in session it returns to the login screen to request a new code rather than failing silently.

Tracks the API 3.7.8 release.

Improvements

• Signup now shows the 911 service advisory — Creating an account presents the circumstances in which 911 calling can be unavailable or limited: a power or internet outage, a suspended service, or equipment moved without updating the registered service address. It has its own acknowledgment, separate from the Terms of Service checkbox, and signup cannot be completed without it.

  This is a distinct disclosure rather than a line inside the terms because it has to be acknowledged in its own right — a single combined checkbox cannot evidence that the 911 advisory specifically was shown. The advisory is always visible rather than behind an expander, for the same reason.

Bug Fixes

• The Terms of Service checkbox was never actually recorded — Ticking it was checked in the browser and then dropped: the registration request carried the business details, the user details and a redirect, but nothing about what had been accepted. An account could be created having agreed to the terms with no record anywhere that it had. Both the terms acceptance and the new 911 acknowledgment are now sent to the API and retained against the account, with the version of the text that was shown.

Tracks the API 3.7.7 release.

Improvements

• Re-push configuration to a fax device — Device cards have a re-push action that re-sends the provisioning URL and reboots the device. Previously the only way to re-provision was removing the device and adding it back, which regenerates the admin password and both port trunks — new credentials every time, which is useless when the point is to retest the ones already in hand. The confirmation distinguishes a device that is rebooting from one that will pick the config up on its next check-in, since a failed reboot is not a failed push.

• The device admin password is visible again — A fax device's web-UI password is pushed to the hardware and is the only copy; a factory reset wipes it along with the configuration. It now shows on the device card, masked, with reveal and copy. Copying falls back to revealing the value when the clipboard is unavailable (an insecure context or a denied permission) rather than appearing to do nothing.

Bug Fixes

• A device that failed to provision looked healthy — When a device never received its configuration URL, nothing in the portal said so: the card was indistinguishable from a working device. Provisioning failures now render as a warning on the card, with the underlying reason.

Tracks the API 3.7.0 release.

Improvements

• Fax devices require a MAC and serial number — Both fields are now marked required in the device panel, matching the API. Serial previously had no validation at all and MAC only validated its format when non-empty, so a device could be added with both blank — which silently skipped registration with the device manager.

Bug Fixes

• Fax-routed numbers show a proper "Fax" label — The numbers list and detail panel had no entry for the fax feature, so the badge fell through to a raw enum value. Fax now renders as a labelled badge, is ordered consistently with the other features, and is selectable in the Features filter, which was missing it while the Routing filter already offered it.

• A first-time invoice upload no longer reads as a replacement — Both "Upload Invoice" buttons on a port passed their handler directly as the click handler, so the click event itself was interpreted as the "this is a re-upload" flag. A first upload therefore showed "Replace Invoice", the replace warning, and a "replaced successfully" confirmation.

• Fax retention accepts a custom value — Entering a custom retention (for example 30 days) had no effect: the field mirrored its value into separate state that was only initialised once, so a value loaded after mount never appeared and the previously selected preset stayed highlighted. Saving also failed outright, because a number input returns a number where a string was expected. The field now binds directly, 30 days is available as a preset (it is the supported minimum), and an active custom value is highlighted like the presets.

Consolidated release bringing the fax UX work onto the main line together with the trunk/number/registration fixes.

Improvements

• Fax lifecycle visualization — The faxes page and detail view now show the full send lifecycle (timeline + per-row stepper), including a synthesized terminal state so a dispatch-time failure is visible instead of appearing stuck at "Queued".
• Fax settings & receipts — Retention and outbound transmission receipts are unified into a single Settings modal, with live status auto-refresh on the faxes page.
• Trunk, number & registration fixes — Folds in the trunk-assignment, number-patch, and registration corrections from the main line.

• Hardware store image galleries — Products with more than one photo can now be browsed in a gallery: step through images with the ‹ › arrows, jump straight to any shot from the thumbnail strip, and see how many photos a product has at a glance from the card.

Live chat now makes sure you notice when support gets back to you — a sound, browser notifications, and a smarter unread badge — and the conversation itself is easier to read with grouped messages.

New Features

• Support replies get your attention — If a reply arrives while you're not looking at the chat, the chat button now pulses and wiggles with an unread count, a soft "call connected" chirp plays, and the browser tab's title shows how many messages are waiting. A reply can't slip by unnoticed anymore.
• Browser notifications — Working in another tab or app? Your browser shows a desktop notification with the agent's reply — click it to jump straight back into the conversation. You'll be asked for permission the first time you start a chat.

Improvements

• A tidier conversation — Messages from the same person now group together: the sender's name appears once above each run of messages and the time once below, instead of repeating on every bubble. Your own messages are labelled with your name and account, matching the agent's side.
• Read means read — Replies only count as read when the chat is actually in front of you (panel open, tab visible, window focused). If you're glancing at another window, incoming messages stay unread and are cleared the moment you come back.

Finding the right walkthrough is now instant — the how-to library on the Support page has a search box.

Improvements

• Search your how-to guides — The how-to library on the Support page now has a search box at the top. Type any part of a guide's name, what it covers, or its category (like "messaging" or "phone numbers") and the list narrows instantly to the matching walkthroughs, still grouped by area. Clear the search to bring the whole library back.

Insights gets a US map of your call traffic, your dashboard's summary cards become interactive breakdowns, the Trunk Health card shows live registration status, and Messaging Insights loads your complete conversation history.

New Features

• Traffic map on Insights — The Insights page now opens with a US map that shades each state by your call traffic, so you can see where your calls come from and go at a glance. Pick a 24-hour, 7-day, or 30-day window, switch between total, inbound, and outbound, and hover any state for its exact counts. Each call is placed by the other party's area code — the caller on inbound calls, the destination on outbound.
• Interactive dashboard breakdowns — The Phone Numbers, SIP Trunks, and Port Requests cards are no longer just a single number. Each is now a donut chart you can explore: use the ‹ › arrows to cycle between different views, and hover any slice to see its exact count and share of the total.
  • Phone Numbers — break down by type (local vs toll-free), by messaging capability (texting send + receive, receive-only, or none), or by call routing.
  • SIP Trunks — break down by type (Register / IP / IP trunk group) or by assignment (attached to a phone system vs account-level).
  • Port Requests — break down by status so you can see at a glance how your in-progress ports are moving — awaiting documents, submitted, FOC/ready, or needing attention.

Improvements

• Live registration status in Trunk Health — The Trunk Health card now reflects which of your trunks are actually registered right now, not just how many are configured. You get an operational percentage, a Registered / Unregistered / IP-auth breakdown, and any trunk that has dropped its registration is flagged in red and pulled to the top of the list so problems are obvious at a glance. (IP-authenticated trunks don't register and are always shown as operational.)

Bug Fixes

• All messages now load in Messaging Insights — Conversations were being built from only the first page of results, so older messages and parts of ongoing threads could go missing on busy accounts. Insights now loads every page for your selected filters and date range, so conversations are complete and accurate.

A few quality-of-life touches: the live chat button gets out of your way, and a new library of step-by-step guides walks you through the app.

Improvements

• Live chat, refined — The chat button now starts only when you open Live Chat from the Support page, and you can drag it anywhere on screen to keep it out of your way. The chat window opens next to the button wherever you park it, and you can hide the button at any time from the in-chat menu.
• Clearer fax attempts — Each fax delivery attempt now shows where it was routed — to an ATA device, out to the PSTN, or marked as a failure — so you can see exactly how a fax was handled and pinpoint where a delivery went wrong.

• Degraded fax support for legacy machines — Faxes from older equipment that doesn't fully comply with the T.30/T.38 fax protocols are now handled in a degraded mode for enhanced compatibility, so a partial fax is captured instead of failing outright. These are clearly flagged with a Degraded badge, and the fax detail view explains that it "didn't fully complete and may only be partially available," along with the underlying protocol reason (for example, "Unexpected DCN while waiting for DCS or DIS") and error code.
• Guided how-tos — A new library of interactive, spotlight-style walkthroughs dims the page and highlights exactly where to click, step by step, as you move through a task. Guides cover the journeys that matter most — getting oriented and reading your dashboard, purchasing, managing, routing, and porting numbers, configuring E911, setting up SIP trunks and phone systems, recording text-to-speech prompts, 10DLC brand and campaign registration, messaging profiles, adding a fax service, exploring insights, reviewing and exporting usage, inviting users, defining roles, ordering hardware, and getting help. On March 31, 2026, the popular npm package Axios (v1.14.1 and v0.30.4) was compromised in a supply chain attack after a maintainer's npm account was hijacked through social engineering. The backdoored versions contained a malicious dependency (plain-crypto-js) that deployed a cross-platform Remote Access Trojan (RAT) attributed to the North Korean state-sponsored threat group Sapphire Sleet.

Our Response

IZT Cloud, Inc. conducted a comprehensive analysis across our entire Cloud Voice platform and all related projects immediately upon disclosure. We can confirm:

• IZT does not use Axios in any of our products. Our platform uses native fetch APIs and has never included Axios as a direct or transitive dependency.
• No customer data or systems were affected. There is no risk of compromise to any IZT Cloud Voice customer.
• No action is required on the part of our customers.

About This Incident

• Affected packages: axios@1.14.1 and axios@0.30.4
• Attack vector: Compromised npm maintainer account via social engineering and RAT malware
• Impact: Automatic execution of a malicious postinstall script that deployed a second-stage RAT connecting to a command-and-control server
